his backup Corey Clement #6 is legit…he'd fit good with the traditional LSU backs. 5'11 220ish, bulky no nonsense runner

I'm not confident at all about the middle runnnig getting stuffed like ya'll think. LSU was weak as shite when teams ran right at them. Is Welter suddenly going to become bigger and stronger? Will our tackles be that much better than Freak and Ego. I hope so, but I think Wisky will run right at us until LSU can prove they can stop it.

I agree against Ohio St, Iowa he didn't do as much, but they dared Wisconsin to beat them through the air. Not as much Melvin's issue as the QB/WR's not being able to loosen up the D.

As a WI fan for the past 22 years or so, that is a recurring theme in games we lose. Teams that can lock up 1 on 1 at corner cause us fits

We are going to find out in a little less than 4 days. I can see Wisconsonin running right up the Tiger middle or at least giving the ole college try anyway...

Between the tackles running is as much a function of LB discipline in their lanes as it is the dline.

we were weak at LB last year, but Chief says we boom diggity now.

I watched the cap one bowl recently and Gordon made a number of 6 to 12 yard runs right up the gut. The only jet sweep I saw was a 20+ yard run from Clement (sp?). Wisconsin's rush attack is strong and carried them in that game. USCe was/is stellar, so Wisc's performance was definitely impressive.

It'll be interesting to see how the LSU defense handles it. LSU's speed could overcome Wisconsin's bulk and power up front, but I wouldn't say that is a foregone conclusion at all.

Definitely good in Big 10, most likely would not do well in SEC, Him being in Big 10 makes him look good. Put an SEC RB in Big 10 and they would look like an NFL veteran.

spurrier seemed a bit confused at 1/2 time and post-game as to how they surrendered over 100 to two backs from Wisconsin.

'course, he's an offensive guy

White Mamba completely shut down Johnny Manziel, I think he can handle an overrated big 10 scat back that wasnt even 1st string last year.

Well, the LSU D had better get to the ball right now. That guy looks very good. Reminds me a bit of Eric Dickerson, but maybe a bit stronger. Wow.

He'll be the first back taken in the draft.
