So is part of our softball protesting during the national anthem?

I may be wrong but at today’s game versus Pittsburgh all players line up along infield lines facing American Flag during the anthem. All Pittsburgh girls have hand over hearts. LSU has 5 with hands over hearts with rest of team is holding hands in a chain. Is this still some type of protest? Appreciate anyone who knows, thank you

Why would anyone care where the girls hands are during the national anthem? Holding hands seems fine to me.

They hold hands at least for the last 10 years+
