negative...doesn't work like that

Everyone would do that if that was the case and NCAA coaches would be stuck waiting until the summer

He has until April 17th (i think) to decide whether or not to forgo his collegiate ellegibility.

have to declare by a certain date. It puts coaches in a bind because they need to know who is coming back/who to recruit/sign etc.

so basically if he declares today....goes undrafted.....then he will probably have to go play ball in Europe bc he can't play ball in the NCAA anymore?

Even if he gets drafted he will probably have to play in Europe.

2nd round isn't guarenteed a roster spot. He would then just be "owned" by a specific team if he ever made it back to the states.

If he doesnt hire an agent he has until April 16 to decide to withdraw his name or not. If he doesn't withdraw his name by then even if he doesnt have an agent he has forgone the rest of his college eligibility.

JOB doesn't strike me as the bookworm type. I bet he'd rather play Euro or D-League ball than come back. Don't blame him, next years draft is ridiculously loaded

i know my vision is somewhat blurred bc of wanting him here, but it seems like his stock would rise if he stayed bc he'd get more points and rebounds bc of lack of doubleteams that he will receive next season

He has 2 years of ellegibility left... Could be a 4 year player.

And it doesn't matter about next years draft class if he doesn't get drafted.

I honestly dont know what the new rule is today, but back in 2004-2006. If you entered the draft, were not drafted and did not hire an agent you could return to school.

Well, if anything, LSU should be a lot better and has a chance to be near the top of the SEC, which would garner exposure.

Look at Hardaway, McGary and Robinson with Michigan. Hardaway and Robinson had name value before the tournament but all three saw their draft value skyrocket because of their play in the tournament
