Doesn't matter where you go to school - LSU is still the state school.

I went to LaTech, but I'm a huge LSU fan. Regardless of what many on here say, Louisiana Tech was the right choice for me at the time. I have a friend who grew up in NO and went to Florida - she always hassles me for being a Tiger fan when I didn't do undergrad there. My answer - "If you grow up in Louisiana, you should be a tiger fan. What? You didn't get the memo?"

Lots of people all over the state feel this way and many of them didn't go to college at all. You don't have to attend LSU to be a Tiger.

All BS aside, BRCC is one of the best things to happen to Baton Rouge in decades.

fail... i grew up in tennessee and now go to LSU. should I be a vol fan? HELL NO. I do agree though that if you go to a smaller school in Louisiana, you have every right to cheer for LSU since were the big state school. ULL, Tech ULM, etc. are not on our level at all when it comes to sports. Its like this in every state, I dont see why ULL fans have such a problem grasping that.

I'm not him, but I'm in the same position, so here you go.

Why do you call LSU we?--That's a tired argument and downright knit-picky, but "we" to me is the fanbase, supporters of the team, ticketholders, etc. No one's claiming to suit up and take the three-point stance every Saturday.

why don't you go to LSU since you love it so much?--SLU paid me more $$$ each semester, less travel, gas, and traffic, as I wanted to commute. Better student/teacher ratio, 99% of classes are taught by instructors holding Ph.D.'s. The list goes on.

On the other hand, there's a very large chance I'll be at LSU school for med or grad school.

ULL fans need to get out of the state and go to troy, uab, etc.... half the student populations at those schools wear Auburn/ Bama stuff all of the time. The same goes for MTSU up here in Tennessee. Its just the way it is...people dont want to support a shitty product and would rather support the bigger and better team that represents the state on a national level.
