Smart should be your point guard.

Team played their best when he ran the point. Waters may need to be out of the starting line up for now.

I’d go:

Smart
Mays
Emmitt Williams
Reid
Bigby-Williams

Your 3 point guard look isn’t working. The season isn’t over but they need to figure this out quickly. Can’t let this lost turn into two like you did against Florida State. Still have Furman. I feel they have put themselves into a position that they will need a very good SEC record to make the tourney.

Agreed. TW is no where near the player Smart is.

Waters has not only been a turnover machine this year but he’s also been a liability defensively. Yes, he gets steals here and there but he is soft and gambles too much. It gets the whole team out of position on far too many pisssessions. And he cannot hold off the backside rebound.

He should be your sixth man. I think he would be great in that role. Come in off the bench and give the team a little spark. Smart should be running point. There is no reason to think Smart couldn’t do all those things Robinson was doing for Houston. He changed the game when he took over just like Smart did in the first half.

Why does Reid keep getting a pass? He is hurting the team at least as much as Waters is. The starters and majority of minutes should be smart, Mays, Williams, bigby-williams, and either Taylor or days with the other coming off the bench.

Both Reid and waters need to spend a lot more time on the bench until they get their heads out of their asses.

Reid’s problem is the coaches aren’t forcing him to get on the block. If he learns that he can just sit down there and he will get easy buckets all night he will be dangerous. He is your best player and he shows flashes of greatness. He’s a great passer from down there too so will make teams hesitate to send a double team.

How is that any different than saying waters’ problem is the coaches aren’t forcing him to stop jacking up bad shots?

There is enough data now to start talking about what he’s actually doing on the court and stop talking about his recruiting ranking. And when you do that, he is mowehere near the best player on this team.

He isn’t physical, he doesn’t rebound well, he makes bad decisions all the time on offense, he is out of position and slow to react all the time on defense. His bad plays far outweigh his flashes of greatness at this point.

He had 3 turnovers tonight. Everyone is rightfully killing waters for his 5 turnovers, and he handles the ball A LOT more than Reid does.

Ok then the truth is this. Naz Reid is a 6’10” 250 pound freak athlete. LSU can’t just get another one of those guys.

Water is a 5’10 point guard and they have someone bigger and probably better than him playing at a higher level at the moment in Smart.

And once again, while you continue fawning over his potential he is killing this team in games played on the court.

At least waters has demonstrated in the past he is capable of carrying this team. Reid is a complete disaster on both ends right now.

The lineup should be.

Smart
Mays
Taylor
Days
Reid.
I go with Reid over Bigby-Williams because of better offensive production.
