McCarron will have to be more effective than he was in Nov. We will need both QBs to beat you

Couldn't agree more on the AJ thing. And LSU can effect that by putting pressure on him. AJ and our OL will win it or lose it for us.

Not near enough has been said about the trenches for the Nov game and the same for January. It WILL be won and lost there, IMO. That is what makes the LSU-Bama matchup so epic. Say what you want about the TRs and TM7s...it's the trenches.

Yea I slipped off the deep end. Now go ahead and deny that TigerLee called you out and called you a liar and dared you to post a link to disprove his accusation and you still havent done so!

I guess I am making that up too!

1. i don't even know what you're talking about
2. i don't really care
3. why do care so much?
4. feel free to use the word "fanboi" in your response
4. who are you going to root for after Lee leaves?

Dude go take a Midol, soak your vagina and rub some Vagisil on it. You will feel better in a few days. This usually works for my wife when she acts the way you are acting.

I'll say what no one else wants to say. It is Jordan Jefferson. He cannot throw the ball effectively, so we come out completely one dimensional. He does what he did last year, which is hand it off for a run up the middle for 2 yards, tries to pass on 2nd and 8 and it is in the dirt, and then we are in a 3rd and 8 and they blitz everyone and he either throws short or gets sacked or throws it away

The actual statistics from this year do not bear out your complaints.

G At Cm Cm% yds td int rtg
Totals: 8 83 50 60.2 684 6 1 150.91
1st Half 7 48 31 64.6 476 4 0 175.38 59
2nd Half/OT 7 35 19 54.3 208 2 1 117.36 38
1st Quarter 4 11 7 63.6 140 2 0 230.55 59
2nd Quarter 7 37 24 64.9 336 2 0 158.99 42
3rd Quarter 6 23 13 56.5 153 1 1 118.05 38
4th Quarter 6 12 6 50.0 55 1 0 116.00 15 3

1st Down 7 36 22 61.1 396 2 1 166.28

According to this, he's thrown well on 1st down. In fact, his longest completion of the season, 59yds, came on 1st down. While the team struggled out of the gate the last 2 games, to say JJ hasn't been an effective passer is simply untrue.

While we're discussing stats, Lee has thrown on 1st down 48 times this season, 12 times more than Jefferson, even though he's started twice the games.

Percentage-wise, we have thrown on 1st down more with JJ at qb.

OP here....sorry I didn't mean for this thread to become another JJ vs JL battle. I for one don't think it's just a QB problem starting the latest games. It seems the whole team just goes through the motions until a big play gets their attention and they move it into another gear. It could be the play calling, motivation, or just that the other team is more "fired up" to start the game. Hopefully, we don't have a problem with any of this against Bama and play a full 60 min or more if needed!

If we had played Arkansas and Georgia before the Alabama game we never would have fallen behind in the score. Simmering down deep in all our souls is the conviction we won the national championship in the Alabama game.
