First time they faced Skenes this is the Major League hitters figure pitchers out real fast . Othani is smart , powerful and has a beautiful stroke the Dodgers did not give him 770 million for his looks

Absolutely, he'll probably be capped at somewhere in the 150 to 155 inning mark this year, which if you include his minor league innings probably gets him somewhere to late August or early September before they shut him down.

Skenes will always lean on the heat (as you should when you can throw 100+). But if someone is able to ever connect, then it will fly 99/100 times.
The cool thing with Skenes is he is having early success and will only get better at setting up pitches.
He said his breaking stuff wasn’t really working in the pen prior to the game so he had to lean even more heavily on his gas.

Skenes also hung a slider that got parked. I believe he gave up 3 runs in 5 IP.
