Significance of Ponamsky?

I've been seeing his name mentioned for a few years and did my research and found out he was the "Special Assistant" to Orgeron. Other than that, why is his name dirt? Sorry I live out of state and don't know the backstory.

I believe he used to be a recruiting 'expert' or maybe a contributor to a site many years ago. Around 10-12 years ago he became a local radio guy that later helped promote O's campaign to go from interim to full-time head coach back in 2016. He devised O's plan to convince the LSU AD to hire him. His title has been "Special Asst. to Head Coach" but rumor has it that he was kinda like a consultant that O listened to WAY too much. for example, Ponamsky gets the credit/blame from a lot of other local media folks for being the person that was telling O who to hire. Many posters believe that he posted here and monitored the board. It's possible that LSU hires may have been based on fan opinion more than O doing his due diligence.

I think much of the Rant thinks he is Tiger Ree. He may be, who really knows???
Nevertheless, from what I've seen, Tiger Ree is a sunshine pumper who gets on everyone's nerves - especially when they want to 'RANT'

Shut the frick up with this shite. Bullying is no part of this. He instigated and shite on lsu fans that pointed out the OBVIOUS issues/concerns with the program. No one should feel sorry for Derek Ponamsky. His behavior on this board as an employee of the university was embarrassing. Good riddance.
