With Mays expected to get drafted next week, ESPN ran a phenomenal article about how he got here, and the role his relationship with Wayde Sims played in his life. RIP Wayde.

I tell ya, Skylar is the perfect student athlete. Glad to say I met him a couple of times and you can tell his parents raised him right. Best of luck Sky.

Thinking about Wayde and his Mom and Dad makes me sick at my stomach. I know tragic things happen every day all over, but for some reason this one evokes a visceral response in me every time I think of it. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for his parents.

I read that and started tearing up when they talked about him doing an 11 minute speech about Sims. Great article.

I was fighting back tears at the part about Wayde's mom giving Mays that hug.

Thanks for this article and reminder about draft. Looking forward to watching 2nd round to see the happiness when Skylar is drafted. Dude's worked his arse off to put himself in this position. I hope he finds the success in the NBA he deserves.
