Just read the article. It was good, and I have to give respect to Russell for what he does for his community.
He was drafted into a terrible organization, and really a lot of things internally in Oakland were not set up for him to succeed.
However, whereas the premier QBs and players in the NFL just work harder to get better in the face of adversity (a la Brees), he just has that "I don't give a shite attitude" and it really rubs me the wrong way. It seems like if success isn't automatically handed to him, he won't give an ounce of effort to achieve it.
The fact is if he wants to be good, he can do it with the right attitude. But his attitude flat out sucks.
Tells me everything I need to know right there. He's gotta earn his way back to the NFL, and he isn't willing to put his ego aside to do it.

Ditto. He lost me right there too. He's selfish and not willing to work hard to get back in the game and he has more than enough time.

The entire article is victim-speak. JaMarcus could change his life anytime he wants.
