Never a good idea to try to "hide" a bad defender at 1B. Berry needs to DH.

A few things LSU fans will quickly learn about CJJ:
1- He likes to overmanage games. Pinch hitters early and often.
2- Loves his matchups and will go with them anytime.
3- His offenses are known for walks and doubles. He doesn't have much patience for chasing balls outside the zone. This team doesn't have his stamp on them yet.
4- Not a ton of small ball or stealing. He's not against it but he wants baserunners in front of doubles.
5- His teams are not always great defensively. He likes having his best hitters in the lineup which means he's not against playing people out of position if it means a better bat in the lineup.

Great breakdown. I watched every pitch and couldn't agree with you more. I do like that you bright up the red flag about our offense scoring 1 run in Oklahoma and Texas's starters and our lack of timely hits against Baylor.
Yes the fielding was a glaring weakness but our "murders row" looked teethless this weekend outside of doughty.
Crews was so disappointing in the first 2 games. Some of his at bats looked like he was guessing and he's too talented for that shite

Yeah Jay is gonna have to understand that's not what wins big in Omaha.
I crucify lsu fans lack of basketball knowledge daily but baseball- this is maybe the most educated baseball fan base in the country with State being the only other school with a real argument.
LSU fans are acutely aware of what quality teams need to do in order to win big.
One thing they're not going to be ok with is this level of errors especially in losing efforts.
Baylor isn't s good baseball team and we lost that game because of errors. It's ok to drop some but if we lose multiple SEC series and he refuses to adjust the defensive lineup then that'll become s major issue for our fanbase almost immediately.
Skip used to say there's good wins and losses and bad wins and losses.
If you lose to Texas and their ace just
Shut you down then fine. Even with some dumbass errors. That's a good loss.
If you lose to a shite Baylor team because your kicking ball around the infield like a little league team that's a bad loss.
LSU fans don't do well with bad losses snd they don't accept too many of them.
