What an unimaginable situation for the student athletes at Vandebilt Catholic:
Covid
Hurricane destroys campus and facilities
Coach passes mid Season

Prayers to all.

Prayers sent up for a great person and mentor of young men. Charlie was around 60 yrs old. Pretty sure he was part of the 1980 signing class and was one of the last people to see Bo Rein alive before the tragic plane crash. Rein left Charlie’s house following a recruiting visit in Shreveport and the rest is history. RIP CC thanks for the memories both on and off the field

I played against him for 3 years. Big boy that is for sure. They had a pretty good team at woodlawn and I ended up playing with a few of his teammates at Northwestern La.

Rein saw Charlie snd then Alvin Burns. He left Alvin’s house and the plane crashed. So tragic. Just awful. Rest in peace Charles.
