It goes both ways. He was undrafted. Perhaps if he stays another year he’s a first rounder. He took the “harder” route, but it seems to have worked out. Then you have a guy like Mays who improved both in skill and physically every single year he was at LSU and is on a NBA roster. NO ONE would have thought he was a NBA player 3-4 years ago.
The questionable decisions are the guys who don’t quite have the natural physical attributes desired by the NBA (unlike Naz) and also don’t have the skill level yet to make up for it.
