Nope. Even at best. He did excel at special teams though.

He definitely played Rb in highschool. Trev Faulk did interviews saying he just played defense as needed. I think they played him at LB and Corner too, not even Safety.

Tre looked good in the spring. Put on good weight and caught the ball well. I thought he would be a major contributor to the team.

Go watch Langlois’ offensive highlight tape from high school. I think he’d be better than Sage

As a 5*, he has been kindofa bust.

I get tired of this type rhetoric. What if the boss at your new job came in after an hour and said you are obviously incompetent and we are firing you? The kid was injured and still played in 4 games as a true freshman. he did his best to play through the injury and stuck it out. He comes in this year as a RS freshmen. Let's see how he performs healthy before you label him a bust.

He’s been getting picked on in the plays I’ve seen. He’s not going to magically grow 3 inches. At his size, he needs to be ferocious like the honey badger to succeed and he hasn’t shown it. I’m pretty shocked he was a 5*.

I’m pretty good friends with one of Sage’s high school coaches. I was told Ryan was more than a little nicked up prior to the season even started. From my understanding Sage was hurt far more than anyone on this board knows and it lingered the entire season. I didn’t ask about the specific injury but it effected his backpedal, cuts, angles, speed, etc. I think we saw a banged up Ryan try to gut it out to the best of his ability and we see a totally different player this year.

I was thinking mostly of his junior year. He mostly play RB his senior year because LCA had so many good DBS.

8th, 9th, and 10th he played more slot than anything else. So more offense at LCA, probably close to even between RB/DB but definitely more RB his senior year.

senior year is what Trev was talking about.

He played mostly CB and safety on defense. Neither my son nor I recall him playing LB except possibly in the Acadiana game.

My son played at LCA when Sage was in 8th playing Varsity. I honestly think he could play any skill positions. My son still follows LCA pretty closely.

Wouldn't Perkins be the better prospect?
