But there was also a time when he and many LSU football fans realized he should have been the starter...

Well here is the catch it is more likely that these fans are wrong than a coaching staff who knows how and has more access to evaluate the talent. Think of the possibilities if our coaches can't evaluate talent...we may have 15 of22 starters that aren't as good as their back ups.

That's why people cheer for the guy.

I cheer for him b/c he plays for LSU.

You sure post alot about this subject to not care.

Because to do so would make me a whiny count like you guys, and I'd rather not show my arse like that.

so you are the bigger man huh?

I had no issues with it. What about game #9?

You do realize our offense in game #9 was horrible regardless which qb was in there dont you?

I don't see how anyone with a brain would disagree that having two capable QB's instead of one is better.

Who said it wasnt? Ive never said this.

After all...there were idiots here that suggested that they wanted JJ no where NEAR the team anymore, regardless of what he did...they say this past summer's off the field issue as a way to get rid of him. For those folks, they'd have rathered lose against BAMa than to admit that JJ was needed then. Must suck to be them...

Youve beaten that in the ground.. thing is those like minded people are very few in number.. you try to make it seem every fan that prefers JL to JJ takes this stance.
You wont come out and say it, but you continue to incinuate it by repeating it over and fricking and over.

I just don't get this mindset of making him a hero for staying at LSU. He signed a letter of intent to play football at LSU. When he signed he wasn't guaranteed to be the starter. There are quite a few guys who will graduate this year that stuck it out while not playing at all.

So does he need to apologize or justify why he is a fan favorite? I have been to several senior days where a special teams player or a seldom used senior has received a very loud ovation. Dont ever recall the fanbase questioned about making these guy heros. Does the fanbase have to cheer each and every player equally to make you happy? Never been a requirement before!

And was never named the starter by Miles or any of our OCs going into any season.

One thing I find interesting is that he's never won a QB competition since getting to campus.

Lost out to Hatch as a RS Fr.
Lost out the next 3 years to JJ.

But yeah, yeah, I know, it's all because JJ is Miles' "pet" and Miles just loves him so much he plays him for no reason.

Please.

I do too,, but do you think more people cheer for that soccer chick b/c of the adveristiy she faced and overcame?... plus the fact she plays for LSU?
WOW... what a concept.

So would it bother you if Derrick Bryant was cheered louder than Lee or Jefferson?

You just don't get it. This whole discussion has very, very little to do with Lee, himself.

This has been my point all along. But alas, all of these coaches must be wrong.

I mean, the coaches even had more faith in Hatch who might be the most physically un-talented QB to ever play for LSU.

It's quite obvious to me that any offensive coach that has been around Lee has seen something to scare the living crap out of them. Perhaps it's the fadeaway passing style and/or the fragile psyche. Whatever it is, I tend to trust the coaches on this one.

Please dont come on this board the day of or day after we play ark and complain about how shitty you thought it was that JL got a bigger ovation than JJ.

I can see it happening right now,,. maybe not from you but from someone who agrees with the vast majority of what you type.

I constantly hear he is such a great Tiger b/c he stayed at LSU. Tell me that's not what all the JL guys say? Meanwhile we have 10-15 guys each year graduate that play less than him....I guess they couldn't have transfered to get more playing time

I won't. I know he will. I just hope JJ gets some appreciation also.

This is so true.

Im getting a kick out of the "fairness and equality" guys on here. The "lee stayed on the team and now he is a martyr and deserves playing time" crowd is fueling the backlash.

At this point, it's undeniable except for those with eyes wide shut.

Literally, every single statistic points to the removal of Gary Crowton as the primary factor in our increased offensive efficiency.

If you don't see the difference between this year and last simply based on the offensive scheme and system, then you are truly a lost cause.
