No we won't, he fits perfectly in Crowton's offensive schemes. Crowton has been salivating at having a Dennis Dixon type player in his offense since he left Oregon. He'll be a weapon next year with his feet, if not with his arm.

You better get used to pulling for Lee. He will have way more yards and t.d.s than Shep, because he's likely to start a couple of games at least. QBs don't usually make it through an entire SEC season without getting banged up. Especially since Jefferson is so skinny and runs a good bit. I don't see any way he makes it through all 14(hopefully) games.

I'm down w/ the 14 games.

But as far as I can tell there will be an open competition for QB in the Spring. As a true fan, I'm not wanting to bash any of our guys and I'll be supporting whomever is playing!

what if he stinks it up again?

you think miles is going to let him sit in there again and get torn apart?

I'll agree with that.

crowton called some questionable plays last year.

but he wasn't the one staring down receivers, locking his eyes on him, and throwing to him as if he had tunnel vision with no one else around him.

if rep is reality he won't be here after three yrs. anyway. he will contribute this season and his early enrollment is kinda like a half redshirt. We all would love to see him as a 5th yr senior but I doubt we will.

This is exactly what will happen if Shep doesn't want to redshirt.

Fixed it.

No, I believe the play calling had a lot to do with that last year.

I agree. If we had punted more often on third down, it would have cut Lee's pick sixes by a third.

Lee will not play outside of garbage time when we are up by more than 30 points . . . unless there's an injury (knock on wood). I think it's over for that guy.

this is the only logical post in this whole thread... some of you are so biased towrads JL that it is sickening to read your posts.

JL threw for almost 1900 yrs last season, If you truley beleive JJ is going to play all 12 games the way he played against ark and gatech and not get hurt YOU ARE STUPID.

Contrary to popular belief with some of you RS IS NOT GOD.. He is even smaller than JJ and wouldnt surprise me in the least bit to see him play another position at LSU.

JL has a just as good of chance as starting next season as JJ, some assholes need to get on board and support all these guys, and let competion bring forth the started...it amazes me how some of you refuse to beleive JL can or will improve...it really shows your ignorance about the game of football.

The JL reality is that Miles is in a lose-lose situation with him. JL gets in there and throws a pic for a TD or under-performs, Miles gets grief like you can't believe. Even if he has the best summer of the QB's (which he won't do , remember Hatch beat him out last summer, and we know Hatch's skill level), Miles and Crowton have to first try the two young guys. JL's lack of good decision making on game day is an established pattern. Hard to break.

Im gonna go out o a limb here and say what you believe to be consider an "established pattern" is not the same as what our coaches believe.

You, nor anyone else can say on good merit what JL will or will do in 2009. Its your personal HOPE in many cases here that he will fail, and that is what is so dissapointing with some of you posters and supposedly "LSU fans"
