Garrett may never see the field for the tigers. I have a feeling he may transfer before it is all said and done. I love how no one thinks Shep can play QB. It will be a sad day for you guys.

if JJ was not to play. I would want both of to play. Lee to pass and Shep to run

It's obvious to everyone at this point Jefferson is the standout starter

Umm, not true. Yes, we all know Jefferson is currently the LSU starting QB, and deserves the chance to show us what he can do as the starting QB.

But Jefferson is most definitely NOT the "standout starter."

Time will tell. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but I wouldn't be shocked if Jefferson isn't as great as we all expect him to be and we go back to Lee as the starting QB at some point this year. Again, not saying that's going to happen, and I fully expect Jefferson to be great, but it WOULD NOT SHOCK ME if things don't pan out like we envision and have to go back to Lee at some point.

We still have a capable backup and potential starter in Lee. I wouldn't throw him under the bus just yet based on his redshirt freshman season. I usually exclude freshman statistics from my analysis anyway, because freshman generally suck anyway and don't know shite.

Do you disagree with the reports that Garrett is by far the better passer of the two?

nobody ever said that. but if you knew anything you would know that Garrett was the most impressive QB through the spring and fall. Even better than Lee and our very own starter Jefferson.

Is Jefferson currently the starter? Yes. Is Jefferson currently the "standout starter?" That's a resounding no. Just ask Miles.

You disagree with what, though? That's my point. There's nothing to disagree with.

You're saying no one else on our roster could potentially be the starting QB at LSU and that Jordan Jefferson is the only person on roster that can be our starting QB this season?

If you actually believe that, you're the only LSU fans that thinks so. Jefferson deserves a shot as our starting QB, most agree on that point. Is he a better QB than Lee, or even CG, or even RS? That's to be seen. According to practice reports, he is not. But it's under the lights what counts, and Jefferson will get his shot under the lights this season, something that he's only had two shots at before. So if you're making your judgment off of two starts (and obviously not taking practice into account at all), then you're simply wrong.

I'm not saying Jefferson won't be great. I hope he is and the potential is certainly there. But we won't know for sure until we see a few games with him the clear-cut, no questions asked starting QB of LSU ... which is a first for Jefferson, so you have nothing to base your opinion on as his two starts last year were because of injury and necessity, not because he had the most potential on the roster..

Lee knows more of the offense than the true freshman so he's gonna get the bulk of the snaps.

McCray was said to be the starter because Brandon Taylor was sick and Miles did not know the sickness' extent. You're not going to start a guy(Taylor) who could potentially miss a week of preparation before a game. So instead you start the next best guy who was at practice all week(McCray)

Miles now knows that Taylor is okay and good to go, thus he will be the starter.

First off, I really hope jarrett lee doesnt see no playing time this year because he is the entire reason of the downfall of the tigers last year. He threw wut 16 interceptions that just sucks he and russell shepard dont even come close to talent. Russell beats him by a long shot.....
