Pat Sullivan had moved on to the NFL by 1972. I had to look it up, because during UAB week, the talk was about him being the coach of UAB in 2000 and telling his team during a pregame speech, "I never lost in this stadium as a player, and I don't intend to lose as a coach."

ETA: not to be a dick to correct you, but I thought it was pretty bad arse when I heard that, and wanted to see if the info had gotten screwed up in presenting it that way.

No,this is screwed up. He was an assistant at UAB in 2000 and the only time he played in Tiger Stadium was in 1969 and LSU won 21-20.

was in the West Bleachers for the Earthquake Game. But the best part was I was sitting with my uncle who was on the 58 team. He is now gone, but I can stop and touch his name on the the plaque on west entrance and take his memory with me every game.
