I apologize if this is the wrong board but I found something on my truck I don't know what to do with.
I discovered this loose part on the steering assembly and wondered if my wheel is about to fall off my 2019 Chevrolet Colorado.
I hope it's not too dark. I hate that music that uploaded with it.

That looks to me like a sway bar end link that’s come loose. It’s not steering related, but you definetly need to put it back. You will need two ratchets with sockets to take it apart or put it back together. May as well replace all of us hinges that go along with it while you are at it.

Thanks, I don't want that thing coming loose at 70 mph.
It's loose to the touch and the other side is too but not as bad.
Thanks again.

The rubber bushings are probably gone giving you slack in the linkage. As long as the top and bottom nuts are not loose, you can drive in an emergency. Get it fixed asap, though.
I would just replace all of the sway bar bushings.

Sway bar end link not difficult to replace. It should not be that loose; I would just replace both sides and be done. Dont try and buy just the bushings easier to do the whole link

Yes, I've found that out. I plan to replace them.
Thanks.

Exactly. That's my plan. $30-35, bushings included.
Thanks for the advice.
