I found out I have a test Friday at 2:30 so I have to ride the SG bus to SC. Has anyone ever been? Do they show movies? They say no alcohol and I'm on probation from last years SC game, so I can't even risk it. Anybody have anything?

Damn it, I was hoping that they would give us some time in South Carolina to see stuff and hang out. I think we might just drive there if it's going to so short. Do you know if there are buses that will be staying any longer?

hy the hell are they leaving at 3:30 am? Aren't we getting on them friday night? Just seems like they would leave by at least 11pm or so. If its to limit tailgating thats bullshite...

I've never been on it, but I remember when we went to Tenn a few years ago, they pulled up and let the students off and they looked friggin miserable. That's a long arse ride in a bus to go straight to a football game and have to get right back on.

Do they check people's bags very well? Is it even worth trying to sneak a little drinkage aboard?

I would not recommend taking this trip anywhere but Auburn/Ole Miss something close.....It's not worth it get there basically can't tailgate go straight to game and get back on bus.....It's still pretty miserable for the Auburn trip but bearable I definitely wouldn't do it for SC no way

And they wonder why they have to advertise for it on TD.com to get people to sign up for the last 100! spots a week before the game

Sorry to report that the SG trip sucks beyond what you can imagine...by far the worst road trip I have ever been on. I went to Florida in '04 and it was miserable. We stopped for 3 hours at a bus stop for the drivers to sleep, not to mention we put-putted the entire way. The bus we were on could not possibly have been any more uncomfortable. If you have a choice and you see "Calco" on the side of one of them, run away. You get no opportunity to tailgate or see the campus, and you really don't get the good away game experience. The food they gave us to eat on the bus was gross. Additionally, people feel free to do their business in the bathroom instead of waiting for a stop which stinks up the whole bus. If you have any other options, I would skip this trip.

damn, that really does sound miserable.

this is a kind of awkward queston, but is there anyone who would want to carpool to columbia? my buddy and i have tickets to the game, a place to stay, but we don't have a vehicle. i sure as hell don't want to take this bus. we could split driving time/gas $$. let me know if anyone would be down.

I went to on the SG trip to UF in 2004 and I was wasted by the time we got to Gainsville... I think it's all about how you butter up the "supervisors" in the front...
