How to watch the Macy's Parade live online?
Posted by Tiger Bombshell on 11/27/14 at 8:33 am
Anybody know how? The only thing I find online is a Macy's website that is supposed to have a live stream but it doesn't actually seem to have one. Can someone help?

Is there any way to watch the parade online? Like legitimately...not something that's going to cause 1000 pop ups?

Where can I watch this game online for free? Is there anywhere I can go that doesn't require me to sign up for a free account? Also, it will be from my iPad, so has to be apple friendly :-)

That sounds promising. Never been before. Anyone know?
Best place to watch the game tonight in BR?

A group of us wanted to go grab some dinner and drinks and watch the game with some other Saints fans....any ideas where all the fans will be tonight in BR?
Best away football game this year?
Posted by Tiger Bombshell on 3/30/12 at 5:25 pm
Given the stadium, the town, the fans, and the competition, which away game would be the best one to go to this year. I'm gonna put in for one but I can't decide. I know Texas A & M will be a first but I just don't know anything about the stadium/town/team.
Any suggestions?

You need to see what the cost for the loan is going to be.
For the one I'm looking at now...all I have to pay upfront is one mortgage payment to close. There is a one time PMI fee of some kind of about $2300 that gets rolled into the loan. Other than that, no costs. Is that a good deal?

That's prob a good piece of advice. I'm sticking with the 30 year fixed....now I just need to find out if this is the best option or if I should be looking around.
HELP A GIRL OUT: Where is the best place to go for an FHA streamline loan?
Posted by Tiger Bombshell on 1/24/12 at 12:50 pm
I see an estimate for a 3.75% 30 year fixed FHA on Wells Fargo's website. Can they just streamline that for me?
Wells Fargo Website
Is there a better place to start looking? I was about to apply for a 30 year fixed FHA streamline with People's Bank for 4.0% but paused for a moment b/c I want to make sure I'm getting the best deal. Is there anyone out that that can help me out? I feel like I'm lost in a sea of people/banks/offers, and I really don't know what to do...all I do know is that 5.5% isn't going to cut it anymore.
Any help is TRULY appreciated!

Does 4.0% seem like a good rate? B/c I'm looking at Wells Fargo and seeing that they have a 30 year fixed loan for 3.75% and I'm curious if that is really true or not. I'm just not well enough informed to know if I'm getting a good deal or not.

horrible rate for a 5/1 ARM
It's a hybrid arm, so it is different. It can only adjust 1% up or down 1 time per year starting year 6

What loan amount are you talking about anyway?

Wait until you are a few months into your job. If things are going well, put that $12k against your loan.
This, but until then, go to Campus Federal Credit Union and open up a Lagniappe checking account. You will earn 3.25% APY on balances up to $10,000 and receive unlimited ATM fee refunds nationwide. That's a quick easy way to make 3.25% without the hassle of investing and keeping it in your pocket in case you need it. You'll basically make $27 a month and have no fees of any kind.
NEED HELP: FHA Streamline Loan - 30 yr fixed or 5/1 Hybrid ARM???
Posted by Tiger Bombshell on 1/23/12 at 2:51 pm
I'm trying to refinance right now and working on an FHA Streamline loan. I am young and the house is small, so I anticipate likely selling before 5 years is up (been in it almost 4 years now). With that being said, I can go with a 30 yr fixed 4.0% interest rate or do a 5/1 Hybrid ARM for 3.5% and save some significant money. Does anyone know much about the 5/1 hybrid? It seems relatively safe, although technically you are betting against the economy which is already about as bad as it can be right now. I typically like to go the safe route, but since I doubt I'll be in this house in 5 years it seems like the 5/1 Hybrid may actually be a good deal for me.
I appreciate any helpful advice as I'm fairly new at this whole process. :geauxtigers:
ETA: I'M GOING WITH THE 30 YEAR FIXED B/C I'M FINDING OUT THAT A 5/1 HYBRID IS THE SAME AS A 5/1 ARM....THEY JUST CALL IT A HYBRID TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER...AND IT ALMOST WORKED ON ME.

Has anyone gotten it yet? Wasn't it supposed to be out at 9pm? I'm hoping this doesn't mean I didn't get them!

Came to the pub crawl and NO ONE is here. Where are the crowds of LSU fans? Downtown? Midtown? At a specific bar? This is bad!

Secondly, you are right....I don't spend a lot of personal time with Nick. This is based off of my very close relationship with several people who have spent time with him every day for several years and others who know Miles on a spiritual and professional level. So while it is not first hand knowledge, it is certainly true.

I think this is dead on. I would even go so far as to say that Miles' faith is a difference maker here....he has the long-term perspective. He knows it isn't all about football, or even success in life...but something much bigger.
Additionally, I would venture that the unfortunate combination of an unpleasable a-hole father (which he likely has himself become) and his inability to produce children of his own (which I know FOR SURE bothers him endlessly) has produced this incredibly insecure man who utilizes control to acheive a level of sanity for himself....sanity in success. He MUST have it to survive and self-validate that massive hole he walks around with, which is self-acceptance/esteem and personal value. Miles gets this from another place (I believe, God) and is therefore able to "enjoy" (forgive the pun) his successes and his life.
