these winds are much worse than Katrina, I'd say 80 mph at least right now

you might have had a gust around or close to 80, but the sustained wind is no where near that

the sustained winds are strong right now though too, probably 50 mph

Well on the Weather Channel Live Feed on NCAA 08 it was pouring and there was a 35 mph cros wind.

LSU so far looks good .... I live in Nicholson Apartments, on Nicholson Dr. beside the old A.Box and so far so good here, no power outage ...
I know at least the Electrical Engg. Bldg. has power so far as the mail servers in that building are working, so I assume the campus has power ....

high wind gusts and moderate rain. and were on the east side here? they should have named this thing hurricane vagina. im in zachary and havent even lost power. pretty sure ill be back at work tomorrow.
