Despise= to regard with contempt or aversion. Didn't say hate, but people do say some pretty hateful crap. Calling him an idiot, moron, etc. doesn't sound like high regard for the man.
But I really don't care if people like him or not, this was not the question, I was curious about the constant need to get emotionally worked up over something everyday or every week. It's like they are addicted to misery, they can't be happy even when something positive happens. Instead they just complain why it didn't happen sooner. Or whatever!
