It will depend on how he finished the season

Then you and the other doomsday douchebaggers should stay home. Don't go to the games. Don't give your money to LSU.

When we had a far worse AD (Joe Dean), empty seats was the only metric that mattered to him. Put your money where your mouth is and boycott LSU. 30k empty seats would get Miles fired.

And if you assholes stay home and don't buy season tickets, then the true fans will be able to buy the seats vacated by the bandwagon douchebaggers. It will be a win/win for everyone.

Why do the Miles haters need to see the rest of the season? They've made their minds up already. They've spent all season telling us the sky is falling. Why would beating Bama change their minds?

I wouldn't call us irrelevant.

We had a chance to take a lead with 7:51 left in the game and had great field position.

We had the ball down by 1 TD with 3 minutes and some change left.

Auburn is now #1 and we lost by 1 TD to them at their place.

You're an idiot. Have you been living back in the swamp for 15 years and just gettin off the pirogue or something? The LSU football program is one of the best in the nation. Just because the team lost one game (against an unarguably good team) doesn’t mean “we’re horrible”. Great facilities, great fans (except crybaby, naysayer pessimists like you) and great players at a great school. Folks in about 110 other universities would love to have what LSU has going on. Don’t forget LSU lost 2 in 2007 and went on to the NC. Granted, the stars and planets were aligned and the perfect storm of higher ranked losses occurred after the SEC Champ game but with the BCS, crazy things happen. Throw in a little SEC insanity and it’s mind-boggling.

If you want perfection, you need to move to NYC and become a Yankees fan. Oh wait...never mind.

So why not let them play the game first? You and every other doomsday douchebagger can't wait to pronounce the season over and fire Miles. I'm neither a sunshine pumper or a doomsday douchebagger. Matter of fact, I fully expect we'll lose to Bama and Arkansas and I fully expected that before the season even began (as I'll bet most sane fans did). But I'm patient enough to wait to see what happens. Why worry about it now? Let them play the game.

FWIW, this was the reason for my earlier.

Can we at least play the games before talking about being out of contention?

We are IN contention. We have ONE LOSS.

Wow...really?

So effort counts in the SECW standings now? What category does that earn us; maybe the "atta boy" award?? GTFO with that bullshite....

You GTFO.

Whinning arse cry baby.

We got our asses kicked up front. Both sides of the ball.

Still had a chance to win.

Get over it.

Just like the game vs Florida a couple of weeks ago.

We had the ball late in the game with a chance to win.

Then another chance to tie.

We aren't irrelevant.

and at what point exactly do you stop using this as an answer to the obvious shortcomings of this team and staff??
7-2?
8-3?
8-4?
8-5?
9-4?
When?!

At what point will some of you STFU?

5-0?
6-0?
7-0?

Or will you bitch, piss and moan until finally...

14-0?

What did you predict us to be in the pre-season?

How many wins is good enough?

During the offseason you guys bitched because Miles hasn't beaten Meyer, Saban or Nutt in 2 years.

He's already beaten Meyer this year.

Got 'Bama at home next week. What if we win that one?

Have you watched Ole Miss play?

Will you STFU if we win those 2 games?

How many wins makes a season relevant?

9?
10?
11?
12?

If you're waiting on 14-0 you're going to be miserable for quite some time.

By the way, I say 10 is pretty damn strong.

What has lsu done in the last two years or this one to justify being called one of the best programs in the Nation? If we continue to play like we are we will lose at least two more games.

LSU needs a QB.
I agree with that, but Saturday also showed me that we are still very weak on both lines. And thats where games or won and lost. Auburn dominated the line of scrimmage.

I agree but there are also millions of fans here that would like to have what 99 of those 110 universities have now which is a better offense.

The thread was about being "irrelevant", not how I'd answer to the "shortcomings" of the team. That's an entirely different discussion. This team is not "irrelevant". They have shortcomings, but I'm with the others in believing that they can be overcome. I don't believe in projecting losses before they even happen. Only the dooomsdayers do that..............of which there are many on this board.

It's one loss. If this team loses 4 games this season, then call me. I thought this team would finish 10-2 or 9-3 this season. Thus far, at 7-1, we're still on track for that. If we were 1-7 or even 5-3 at this point, I'd complain. But I ain't complainin' at 7-1...................regardless of how Cam Newton ran on this team. All the teams goals are still attainable at this point.
