Interesting that the two teams in championship game and 3 out of 4 teams that reached semifinals didn’t make it out of Regionals. If you also consider the early exits of the two prior national champions, it doesn’t seem worth stressing a team that is already at the end of season and trying to take on demanding postseason. Many pointed out it didn’t matter, but got a ton of backlash.

The people that watch college baseball every year realized how irrelevant the SECT was. The people that never watch a game melted.

Should be single elimination throughout that tournament. IMO.

I l agree with single elimination. Still allows a team that might have been bad early but got some players back and is playing well at end of season to have a way to make tournament. Unfortunately, revenue always rules the day.
