Ok...a two loss LSU will go to the title game while a one loss Bama does not. Makes perfect sense.

It has been explained to you over and over. I am sorry you do not understand it.

Really? No one is with me here??? LSU and Alabama play the same 5 other teams in the west. Whoever has the best record against these said teams should be the western division champions regardless of their additional games. Winning the west should mean just that; winning the WEST!

The only time the west win/loss record would come in to play is if there was a tie. The team with less losses in the west would go.

if you win your SEC "division" you play in the SEC title game.

That is correct!

his would mean that if we beat Alabama, but loss to Ole Piss or Arky, Alabama would go over us because of their one loss in the SEC to our two.

??? - Of course they would as they would be the west division leader and as you stated in the first quote the best team goes.

I will try one more time. In a four team division in the NFL, if a team goes undefeated in their division (6 wins) but lose the rest of their games to teams in other divisions and finish 6 and 10 but another team in their division lost to them but finished with an overall record of 10 and 6 that team would win the division because not only are they part of the division they are part of the nfl.

So, the way I understand it... if you win your SEC "division" you play in the SEC title game. I am being told different tonight and told that the two best teams with the best SEC records in each division go... This would mean that if we beat Alabama, but loss to Ole Piss or Arky, Alabama would go over us because of their one loss in the SEC to our two. Please help me to a rule guide or something....

I am well aware of the rules and have no problem with the current system, but I understand the OP's issue with the way the system is set up... Let's say LSU only has 4 common opponents in SEC play with BAMA, plus the head-to-head, but LSU has a harder East schedule. LSU sweeps the west and common opponents, but loses to great Florida and Georgia teams. Bama drops 1 to LSU in the West whom LSU sweeps but plays crappy Vandy and Kentucky teams in the East and beats them. This creates a reason that the SEC West champ should be based off of the COMMON schedule and not include the Eastern matchups which include completely different and uncomparable opponents.

OP gives us something to think about that may be a flaw in the SEC system.

I typically refuse to post with you fricking homosexual "bloggers" or whatever you are... I post when I need tickets, and when I'm hammered, I regret my drinking to night. Go back to your chat room...

I was kidding but I can make it to where you're not tempted to post, if you'd like.
