Started as a freshman 2 years ago after Hill went down with an injury. Threw for almost 3400 yards and 23 TDs

Good passer but doesn't run at all so LSU can pretty much rush 4-5 and destroy their offense as long as our secondary is in top form.

On paper LSU should blow BYU out.

- statue in the pocket
- weak secondary
- meh RBs

Should doesn't mean they will though.

Tanner is legit, but BYU receivers are questionable. The best way to beat BYU right now is tight coverage on the receivers, allowing for the D to stack the box. Tanner's not completely immobile, but we no longer have a QB that can torch the D for long runs when plays break down.

At least one receiver has 4.3 speed, but he dropped/missed multiple balls last week (not Tanner's fault on those).

Much slower than Trevor Knight IMO. However, he is pretty good with the short passing game
