Does NBC still televise the Rose Bowl?

I'm only 33, but I don't think I've ever seen a Rose Bowl on a network other than ABC. To answer your question, no, the Rose Bowl is on ESPN.

The problem is that if the Outback doesn't take South Carolina, they'll go to the Chick-fil-a to play the Clemson team they just beat. That isn't happening, so LSU is getting the Chick-Fil-A shaft

I thought I saw Clemson BCS at-large if they'd won?

Moot point - they didn't!

I see this but however Clemson could still go to the Gator.

That would take some major inter-conference negotiating between the bowls and the SEC/ACC. Why would the Chick-Fil-A just give up Clemson to take Duke or Ga Tech because LSU feels like they're getting screwed?

Why wouldn't he????

Youre probably right. He has strong feelings for that program but its his job to beat any opponent.

Things in play, to watch for:

1)A&M. Cotton lock... or not? A&M has been to the Cotton recently, and was tied in via the Big 12. Might go to Capital One instead... let them go to an SEC-exclusive bowl they've never been to. Plus, then you market JFF outside the state of Texas. I think they'd like to travel to a Fla bowl for once.

2)UGA. If they lose, do they get the repeat Capital One appearance? Maybe not. Maybe they'd rather the Chick Fil-A and get a night game in Atlanta, against Clemson. That would be nice for the Dawgs

3)LSU- Cotton does like us. Cap One, it just doesn't seem to work out the way it should. Chick Fil-A has been done a few times. Gator or Outback would be a new experience.

4) Bama- if they lose, it would be interesting to see who scrambles to grab them, and where teams shuffle. No denying, they would be everyone's 1st choice. Cotton might make a push, as well as Cap One.

Peej, I just realized that the ACC no longer has a Gator Bowl tie in. It's B1G vs SEC. So, Clemson can't go to the Gator Bowl.

Hey Don't get me wrong. I would LOVE to play Clemson. A VERY Dangerous team for LSU IMO.

Senior moment on my part. Rose Bowl was carried on NBC up until 1988.

I must have been having a Dick Enberg, "Oh my" moment.
