Sankey has got to move this game back to where it belongs: late October. I’m tired of this game being played in mid September every year. It ain’t right.

LSU-Ole Miss has happened 6 times in September. September has not been kind to LSU where Ole Miss is concerned

1938 Baton Rouge, LA Ole Miss 20–7
1939 Baton Rouge, LA Ole Miss 14–7
1940 Baton Rouge, LA Ole Miss 19–6
2018 Baton Rouge, LA #5 LSU 45–16
2023 Oxford, MS #20 Ole Miss 55–49
2025 Oxford, MS #13 Ole Miss 24–19

Number of games played each month

September 6
October 41
November 62
December 2 (very first game in 1894 and the COVID year game)

I hate that they kept Alabama in November off the bye week. I know it will change in 2027.

Ole Miss last weekend in October, Arkansas after Thanksgiving.

I’d expect it to change in 2027.

I think they were trying to squeeze 1 more big LSU-Bama matchup on first weekend of November in 2026
