You da frick'n pimp
thanks, I was pretty proud of myself. I happened to be near campus and remembered the scrimmage so figured I'd have a look and try to bullshite my way into the stadium. My wife was with me and said it was never gonna work but I just told her to act like we were supposed to be there. There was a guy guarding the entrance and I don't know if they have your name on the checklist or if you have to show a gridiron card or what, but I didn't do any of that. I just walked past him and asked him which way club members go.

How did Hatch hurt his shoulder?? I hope it was not a throwing injury. That would stink. Hope he fell or accidentally got hit.

He didn't really go down with an injury. He was playing, they took a break for halftime, and the next thing you know he was leaving. It wasn't like he was down on the field, or had to be attended to on the field or anything.

sounds good.

Also, just noticed on WAFB that the stats said "only 2 turnovers for offense". I guess thats what Miles released but its NOT true. As I said earlier, I only watched the last hour so I missed KW's lost fumble but I saw at least 2 interceptions. JJ threw one inside the 10 intercepted by Coleman and Lee had a pass bounce off of Byrd's chest and intercepted by McCray. Santa Clause also posted that JJ threw multiple interceptions (some before I got there I guess)

I just walked up the the stadium and walked in like I owned the place. The guy at the table w/ a clipboard got my attention and I said "I'm in the gridiron club, where do I go." He said "Oh, go to the elevators to stadium club." I wasn't sure if they were carding people or checking a roll up there so I just walked in stadium at ground level and sat w/ players relatives and watched over an hour of the scrimmage. Pretty sweet.

Nice, you must be good at the poker table also.

True, option, not spread shotgun option. JJ was under center and ran option for a number of plays near goal line and don't be surprised if that might be one of he package plays.

Thanks for the updates, but I think talking about new packages they run and where they're being run might be one of the things they don't want you putting on here.

Danny McCray was running w/ the nickel defense over Chad Jones. They played dime and both were out there but when the 1st team D went to two linebackers, Jones came out. Not sure if I like that.

Definite mistake to take chad Jones off of the field. Les said it himself. I know McCray is a little more experienced, but Jones big play ability and McCray's ability to get burned often, makes you think that Jones shouldn't ever leave the field. IMO.

Like I said earlier, I'm NOT a member of gridiron club and signed no confidentiality agreement like they do. I'm just a fan that walked in and watched so I'll say whatever the hell I want about the scrimmage. I think LSU fans really want to know this info and have a right. None of our opponent's coaches are getting their LSU scouting info from this message board I assure you.

I agree. Jones should play nickel before McCray. McCray is going to be our Erin Demond or Hookfin all year long in my opinion when teams spread us out. I sat a few rows from field and watched closely when the coaches would call "dime 1" or "nickel 1" to see who went in and I did not see CJ in on nickel with the first team for the time I was there. Miles said in his interview that CJ would play in nickel but at different position than McCray (said CJ at s.safety) but I saw Coleman and Taylor on field in nickel.

If there is one place the needs CJ, it's in the Nickel Package! He shouldn't leave the field.

""On one play, LSU motioned Trindon in from WR and was going to hand off on the reverse and Jean Francois was in the backfield so fast he tackled Trindon as he was getting the handoff""

exactly like the spring game, only every f'in snap

Don't over blow this. There is little material in that update for a coach.

We know from this update that....

Trindon ran a reverse! Oh my!

A true freshman QB isn't that good right now but shows "upside" Who would have thunk it?

The TE is a major target for a young QB. No effin way!

Seriously, calm down, I doubt Santa just gave away all our Christmas gifts to the enemy.
