I think we only have 11 ten win seasons since 1960. That might be an indication of overhyped.....sorry to say.

O may or may not be the answer, but after Miles we can only go up.
I was ready for Les to go too but his last team went 9-3 (McNeese cancelled) O just went 9-4.

That’s not going up.

LSU has finished the season lower than its preseason ranking 6 years in a row. I guess we are an overrated squad.

More reason to fire JA.

Don't think that's correct, but one coach has 7 of those, with a cancellation prolly costing another.
Dietzel, Archer, Dinardo, each have one, and Saban has 2.

The scheduling has changed over the years and makes this a terrible benchmark, though.

ETA: ESPN has us at 23.

I can already see it now:

LSU finishes #21 and all of the CheeriOs are like “See!!! O broke the streak of finishing lower than our preseason ranking!! WE COMIN!!!”

Just keep setting the bar lower and lower until even an outside top 20 finish is a huge accomplishment!

Well considering Orgeron is this planet's biggest moron,...
His Net Worth just called in to refute your statement.

The world’s biggest moron probably is homeless.

And wears a flag shirt.

We can debate whether Orgeron should have been named the HFBC but to (incorrectly) call him the “planet’s biggest moron” is bad hyperbole.

How are you supposed to feel when instead of hiring a young forward thinking coach, we hire an old career dl coach whose only real HC stint resulted in the worst in a school's history?

Then instead of really looking for people, that same HC just makes the laziest hires he can.

A young forward thinking coach? Who the frick ever said LSU wanted a young punk running our program?

Tom Herman is the coach many of you idiots are still whining about not getting (he was never coming to LSU) yet he won 6 games at Texas. They ran off Charlie Strong to get the "kissing coach". You "Hermanistas" are nuts.

Then there is the great Jimbo. Lol.
Jimbo won 5 games last season at FSU and bolted for A&M. Give Jimbo a few years and he will have the Aggies ready to run his arse off but will have the most stupid contract in college football staring back at them. By the way Jimbo is neither young nor forward thinking unless you consider running 12-15 bubble screeens per game as creative.

Orgeron inherited a mess. LSU posted a 9 win season and tried to utilize a gimmick offense but it wasn't working and the OC was not getting alongvwith many of the coaches. Orgeron corrected the problem but many of the posters on this toilet of a message board are obviously young and stupid because their only criteria for a new coach is he needs to be young.

LSU Football is in good hands and if you don't want to support it then stay home and pull for someone else. You won't be missed.

you have to realize that your dealing with a poster that never actually talks football. his entire purpose on here is to shite on miles. here is his entire 1st page of posts.....

quote:

That was 6 games into the season, even if Chavis wanted his guys. Miles was the HC, so he either didn't know what he was looking at or he just didn't want to play a SO in front of a FR. ...

quote:

Your right. Miles walked into a loaded team. He left so many championships on the table, its not funn

quote:

There it is folks. Favorably comparing Les Miles to the GOAT.

You cant fix stupid.

quote:

Miles still was the HC. I don't think Chavis was great, but he is smarter then Miles. That sounds like a call Miles would have made. Miles is straight up dumb....

quote:

Likely he saw others get manipulated and he didn't want to put up with Miles stupid calls. ...

quote:

How about 1\9\12. Miles played bama 9 quarters that season and didn't score a single TD.

For shits and giggles that team had 27 future draft picks, 10 of them being on offense.

Were you concerned then?

quote:

Like I said the older coaches get hired, if they are good. Miles is average, so most ADs will pass. I have heard Miles interviewed. H.

quote:

his works to the other schools advantage.

This is a Q&A from Marcus Spears to Miles.

Miles went on ESPNU Radio with Marcus Spears and was asked how many teams had seriously talked to him about their head coaching vacancy.

literally zero actual football talk
