How in the Hell is Nebraska going to make the NC game with that offense, and the interior of the DL weakened?

Quite possibly the most ignorant thread in the history of this board.

And that's saying....A LOT!!!

Probably not the worst, but close. Some people are desperate to make "their person" look better by dragging another down. Saban was mildly disappointing in a couple of instances during his career here but saying underachieved is absolutely ludicrous.

I agree. We should let the mother fricker have 200 seasons of 0 and fricking 12 before we pass judgment.

or maybe Saban isn't a better coach now, maybe he is just at the premiere program in the conference?

Or maybe he's always been a good coach but he's at a program that has everything and everyone in place committed to being the best and had excellent preperation and ended up getting a lot of things going his way to win another national title(like most coaches who win national titles)?

I'd be highly surprised if Bama wins a national title this year or another while Saban is there.

"Premier program" meaning he has better players now than when he was at LSU? Does Bama receive favorable officiating? Do the '66, '78, '79 NCs come into play when facing 3rd and 9 against LSU, Florida, or Auburn?

Personally, I think the better records at Bama are due to a lot of things. He has been more motivated than ever, he's enjoyed a couple of years of his three main rivals being in transitional, down years, and of course, the Zebras are not allowed to call holding on Alabama in SEC games. LOL

You think PJ?

Bama has a lot of question marks on defense. If they end up losing 4 or so games, we'll all be looking forward to your excuses on why that is.

I wouldn't. Saban worked on his "program" at LSU ans is a total nut about the particulars of it. He has a formula that has found to be successful. Only way I see him not winning another NC at Bama is if he leaves within three to four years.

He has the formula down. Recruiting isn't going to drop off under his watch. He still has some weaknesses in his game, as seen vs Utah but he will be in a position to win another NC soon.

I don't compare Miles tenure at LSU with Sabans simply because the situations were totally different. Sabans situation this year at Bama is similar to Miles in '07, at LSU.

You need to get over 2008. We had a perfect storm yr. New DC, running 4th string RB by yr end, no, none, natta QB who had a play of experience, and a QB throwing 16 ints with 7 for pick 6s.

2009 could only be seen as mediocre by jerk fans who are clueless about college football. Any college football team playing in the SEC and finishing rank nationally is not mediocre and any saying they are only showing their retard ability.

I have forgotten more about College football than YOU will ever know. Last years offense was a total joke. This team plays with ZERO passion. No way we should have been in a position to just get by MSU, should NOT have been behind La Tech at the half, Should have beaten Ole Miss.

But teh 2008 team with LEE at qb avg 31 ppg.

In reality the SEC was down a bit last year, aside from Bama and FLA.

I think u r confusing posting a lot to knowing a lot.

What don't u understand about the impact on a team of 16 ints and 7 pics in 8 starts on the morale of an offense and team?

The SEC, down or not, was the best college football conference in the NCAA.

Crap on LSU all u want, but 3rd in the SEC and 17 in the nation is not mediocre but in the minds of jerk fans.

Except at QB and o-line....the two most important areas on the field. And half the teams in the SEC are very close to the talent level of LSU. Although most of you will never admit this because it doesn't fit your agenda (check out the '07 recruiting classes). This year will be the tell all.
