I don't want Saban either - but he wants LSU. It would take him 5 seconds to decide to leave Bamma to come back here.

But if Miles leaves, I'll take Saban, provided he does the things outlined for forgiveness above - including the announcing of his departure on Christmas Day.

There will never ever be a coach at LSU that everyone likes. It is impossible to win the NC or SEC for that matter every year and as soon as it doesnt happen, there is always idiots calling for their heads!!!!

Not that Les is ever leaving, but if he did LSU would be looking for the next great coach not the last great coach.

That's my partial beef with Alabama. A great coach is Bill Bellichek. They should have just bought him. Gumps seem proud they could count on LSU to find them a good coach.

Suppose he announces this on Christmas Day.

Saban has proven 2 things:
1 He's a prostitute
2 He can coach defense

Thanks but no thanks. Don't like sloppy seconds.
I always love watching the gumps attempt to pay for victory. First by paying the players directly now by paying for a prostitute. It appears to be working... good. At the same time it also erases or minimizes their "Tradition" Things like the Bear... earning victory. My only hope is that some U comes along with a bigger better offer and AU has to pay him even more.

Coach Bryant almost went to Miami during his years at Bama but we wer smart enough to not let that happen.

You found nothing. You let one get away to Miami.

We found a coach at Miami. You had NOTHING to do with it whether you would like to belive it or not. But if it makes you feel batter, keep beating that tiger.

I don't presume to know what Saban would or wouldn't do in a given circumstance. Maybe he does love LSU and would like to go back.

I hope he doesn't, because he's the best college football coach I know of. Period. The man is phenominal.

LSU fans should be thankful that he came there and resurrected the program to the lofty status it's in today. LSU should also start looking for a coach that can keep it there, 'cause Miles ain't it. I can understand LSU fans wanting to believe Leslie can do it... but he can't. He's not "the guy".

I'm not sure, at least listening to Terry Saban and the things that have been said by Tiger fans and Nick's quote after the game about the Tiger fans reaction to him when he said"you name it and I was called it"that the Sabans would need to be the one's asking forgiveness.

As far as Bama being doomed to a crappy coach, well LSU is no better of a job. Stop fooling yourself. Like one of our trustees said upon hiring Nick, if he won one nat'l title at LSU in 5 years, he can win 3 in Tuscaloosa. I believe that as we all do. its why we went after him. The LSU job was viewed as a loser. No facilities, money, etc. May or may not be, just the perception. If he could win there, the graveyard of coaches, he could win even bigger here. Drop the LSU is greater thing. Your days are almost over in even being relevent in this division. Nick is great, we know that. IF we win it all this year, look for us to repeat for the first time since 78-79. Then he might look at retiring but he aint going back there. not after whats been said about that man. U burn him in effigy and think he wants to come back? good grief. Like I said, he's not the one to be asking forgiveness, look in the mirror for those people.

You are forty years old, and are this naive?

Follow recruiting much? Know much of La's yearly skill position talent output? Seen LSU's recruiting haul thus far this year? Remember whom won the last BCS title game played less than a year ago?

Bamafan, don't go mistaking LSU losing to three top ten teams this year, as being in the same lot and direction as Tenn and Aubie's slides from grace..LSU is still loaded..just green at some savvy-positions and having a BCS hangover amongst some upperclassmen..

P.S. Good luck stopping Florida!

Quit talking with them please then.

SabanBaby. Did we do this to Gumpnation when Saban Came to LSU?? No. We could have I guess, but Saban wasn't "The Saban" until LSU made him what he was and vice versa. It's good for LSU that Alabama can't produce or find up and coming coaches on their own. Maybe your next coach will be Les Miles!!!
