Forget Richt. Last thing I want is a coach who will humiliate our team by claiming we should have a shot at the NC even though we couldn't win our division.

I agree that Miles is a better coach than Saban. But if Miles should leave, it is nice knowing that we have Saban as a back-up.

Spurrier- No
Saban- Yes
Meyer- Yes
Richt- Absolutely not. THE Most overrated coach in the SEC
Tubberville- Probly not
Nutt- Probly, always gets the best out of his teams.

my opinion doesn't matter, but i would be willing to bet a lot of money that had saban been on the west sidelines last saturday and had miles been on the east sidelines Alabama wouldn't have left Tiger Stadium with a victory.

Spurrier has been a better recruiter during his career of course. But if you are talking about an on-the-field coach, I would take Miles in a heartbeat.

I realize he has beaten us the last three times, but only two of those were against Miles, and neither of those games were really Miles' fault.

Besides those LSU games, Richt has not had a great record in big-time SEC games over the last four years like Miles has.

Saban gets his arse kicked by somebody every year, Richt is a cocky over-rated piece of shite, and Tuberville is a dumbass. Spurrier, Meyer, and Nutt, however, are very good coaches. I would be proud to have any one of them at LSU.

I really don't see how people think Miles sucks. He's had the most winningest record at LSU ever, and it's not because he has Saban's players. It's because he's good at his job. Maybe there are a few teams we should have spanked, but we didn't. Hell, there are a few teams we should have beat while Saban was here, but we didn't. Not everything is the fault of the head coach.

i think you got it backwards! i would take miles as a recruiter and spurrier as the coach.

Yeah, I guess Saban would have somehow magically prevented Lee from throwing 4 ints, Colt David from missing his FG, Mitchell from dropping his pass, etc etc etc.

I guess this is kind of debatable. Miles and Spurrier are very similar coaches on the field and on the recruiting trail in my opinion. However, Spurrier has done it over a longer period of time so I guess he has the edge there. But I still think if I had to choose a coach for the 2008 season, just one year, I would choose Miles. But it's still really a toss up.

could you expound on that? how were they not miles' fault?

i bet there's not more than 2 games difference in their records over the last 4 years! need i remind you that miles is 1-3 against ranked teams this year and that 1 is nowhere near the top 25 at this point. besides that LSU lost 2 games to mediocre teams in 07 that almost cost us a shot at a national championship.
