I'll give you a hint. Between you and me, there are 2 posts in this thread talking about NCAA national titles for football. And neither were made by me.

What does this OP have to do with the problems this program has getting a balanced offense, competing in the SEC west and beyond? It seems pointless to me.

And numerous people have criticized it. All im saying is in no way does a vertical and broad jump determine explosiveness and agility more than 3 cone drill and shuttle. In football games youre asked to acceleraten slow down, turn and accelerate again just like the 3 cone and shuttle.
but he did demonstrate explosive skills with his vertical leap, standing broad jump and bench press. I like to add up the three scores; if the score hits 70 or better, you\’ve got an explosive player.

Clearly Pat Kirwan hates miles too

Ok. Thats what lsu and bama play. Ncaa fbs football. Not bcs football.

Again. His agility #'s were bottom 3. Thats what we were talking about. Shiftiness and explosiveness.
What does Miles have to do with this?Shep was never the 6th best skill player on any lsu team he played for.his route running and hands were below average. There is a reason the nfl draft.com said he should think about moving to cb.

I'm wondering this too. The guy you are talking to has an irrational hatred for miles for some reason. Dude is obsessed with hating on him.
You should prob bow out. It's hard to discuss football with people like that.

No, what we're talking about is your complete lack of understanding of the nfl combine and how the drills there are used to project players going forward.

Well according to the OP here, Shepard owes his nfl career to miles. So there's that.

So you want to take a player you think is not shifty or explosive and has below average testing results in agility and acceleration and make him a CB? Holy shite dude, you truly do not know football.

I guess only someone with an irrational love for miles and obsession with defending him could recognize that.

Miles doesn't really need a defense considering he is the most successful coach in school history.
I'm an actual fan that enjoys seeing my school win.
You enjoy shitting on the lsu team/coaches/program and being negative
I'll take my side every time.

Well that's odd, because you seem to spend a whole lot of time pumping out defenses of him.
Btw, I'd really love to see your attempted pump-filled retort of Shepard making the nfl if he had stayed at qb from the first page

Just what i said. Aside from a wr jumping to catch when else to a vertical jump or broad jump come into play?
A shuttle run and 3 cone drill type running comes into play every single snap
Oh boy...

The Event: The standing broad jump is a test of explosion and balance. Athletes are asked to simply leap as far (rather than as high) as they can from a crouched position. An impressive performance in this event speaks to a player's lower body strength and coordination, as the only jumps that count are the ones in which the athlete lands without taking another step to steady himself.

Of him? No not personally. I don't know him.
The program under him? Yes.
You sound like a miserable person. Might be indicative of something else going on in your life if you are so negative over a successful football program.
It's definitely not the football program's fault you are miserable. It's you.

I stand fully behind my opinion. Russell Shepard probably would not be in the nfl today unless he switched positions. He would have never gotten on the field to show ability if he didn't switch to receiver.
Not really sure how that is hard to see.

Oh really? In what way are either of these posts a reference to the Lsu program and not miles himself?

Your life is so pathetic that you spend a considerable amount of time on a message board defending a coach you don't even know and talking down to people you don't even know for being 'bad' fans, and I'm the miserable person? Lol ok pumper

Oh right, because he got on the field so much as it is after switching. I completely forgot about that. Or maybe I didn't, because it didn't actually happen.

Something wrong with liking miles as the coach of my alma mater? You are trying to act like I should be ashamed of supporting him as coach and supporting the program.
That's ridiculous.

He didnt get on the field because he wasn't even the 6th best skill position player during any of his years at lsu.
Bruh, you havent shown any football knowledge. Not one bit. All you do is bash the program. Thats it..keep bashing a program youre supposed to be a fan of.

That's all he's good for. Must be a horrible feeling to be that miserable about a successful football program.
