They absolutely mattered. Why do you think they had to negotiate with ESPN? It's because the contract didn't allow them to host more than one prime time game - ESPN has those rights.

So many people think we as fans are just making excuses.. but there's legit reasons to feel this way and it's sad that horrific biased officiating is allowed to continue. If that's the best they have then that's terrible. That dude should have been fired after the Peterson INT no call.

It truly is incredibly shady to have the same controversial guy 3x's in a row @ Bama..

I have always said that if you leave a game close enough to be decided by a bad call then it's your own damn fault, BUT that PP7 call/no call/review is just astounding. There is no excuse for it. From the original no call to the botched review. It was more then a blown call and something should have come of it. The crew should have been publicly reprimanded.
