I actually like the toss "off tackle".
Toss power to be exact.
These are the same dunces that complain about running option to short side.

Its common knowledge that getting the rb the ball as quickly as possible is the point of the toss.
It is also supposed to freeze emol if you run enough toss sweep to fool them. I don't think LSU ran enough sweeps to get effect.

LSU v Ole Piss
BTW, 2 of LF7's long TD runs were from the toss dive to the right. Jus Saying

Also, we didn't run that play once vs Bama. You have no clue what you speak of...

Ole miss's run defense was absolutely horrible, I don't think it mattered what play we ran.
I'm not trying to say the play has never worked for us, but I just thought it was understood that it's hard to run things off it and gives the defense a pretty solid heads up on exactly what's happening. I mean do you really think lsu is just that far ahead of the game that almost no other college or nfl team runs this play?

You're right. The toss dive is a fine play when used occasionally against favorable odds and in unpredictable situations. Yes, in those situations, it's an adequately designed play.

Same with every play in the playbook
