Like I said, I love optimism.
I think it might end up more like 24-21 either team though.
For me, it's a tossup right now.

That's about what I'm thinking. Still a chance it could go the other way though.

losing 2 (distinguished) players on a team as stacked as LSU wont have an impact on a game against AU.... AU wont score anymore or any less points just bc 1 player is out. we may score one less TD bc ware is out.... AU doesn't score more than 14..... we will put up about 30....
LSU wins 31-10
LSU wins 31-10

Auburn has five players to whom they throw a vast majority of the time: (catches, yards)
1. WR Emory Blake (19, 333)
2. WR Travante Stallworth (11, 204)
3. RB Onterio McCaleb (19, 201)
4. TE Phillip Lutzenkirchen (11, 108)
5. WR Trovon Reed (13, 91)
With our remaining DB's, Man-to-man would be something like:
Blake - Claiborne
Stallworth - Brooks
Reed - Taylor
I honestly think that we can cover the WR's pretty well. However, its the next two that I am worried about:
Lutz and McCaleb have proven to be real weapons for AU. I think we will need to rely on our two remaining safeties, Loston and Reid, to cover them, because I just don't think our LB's have the coverage skills.

Auburn is starting a QB who has thrown a grand total of something like 10 passes in his college career thus far. If our D line can't put pressure on him and he has plenty of time to pick us apart, then we could be in trouble.

Curious as to what brings you to this conclusion.
You expect both the offense and defense to stink it up?
Two things concern me the most:
1. Because of Ware being out, for some reason Miles thinks that JJ needs to get the majority of the snaps at QB.
2. That our D can't get enough pressure on Mosely and he is able to pick apart our depleted secondary.
If both of those things happen, then I can see how we could lose by a 24-21 score.

I really believe this distraction unites the players even more than they are. Just like the distractions at Auburn last year. I do believe Auburn is our first real SEC test. Are they as good or better than Oregan and/or WVU? Maybe not but it is the SEC and we have taken over thier spot from last year. Our players have to be motivated, but so are the Aubbie Gar Beagles. I say Let 'Er Rip.
