The lack of development is the problem with this team. People keep blaming the transfers. But the returning players are not improved. The pitching is the most glaring issue. The majority of our pitchers that have returned have regressed.
Jay gave a press conference where everyone here praised him for “taking responsibility”. All he did was say that he didn’t assemble enough talent. We may not have the talent to win the natty this year but absolutely have the talent to be better that 6-14 in the SEC.
Jay is a great coach. I love that he’s our guy. But this year, the staff has not done a good job. I am confident they can get it fixed. But we will have the same result next year if our pitching can’t improve.
