The last time I went here it was disgusting.

It's not my favorite, but I was there a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't too bad. You expect a little "disgusting" at a Mexican place. I eat at Hacienda's quite a bit as well. Will have to check out Agave.

True, but this was bad even for a Mexican restaurant on my poor college student budget (admittedly, it was a couple years ago).

Iguana's is the best and cleanest mexican place in Bham.

To the rest of the folks, Jim and Nicks on 31W is the best BBQ place in the area. (Take a Right on 31 from 150, half a mile down on the right, cant miss it)

If you are looking for fish, the Fish market on the right side of 31 by the Cadillac Dealership. Go up the hill.

If you want cajun, go to N.O. Food and Spirts, owned by the Bergeron family from L.C. Its in Vestavia off of Kentucky drive by the Rave Movie.

Michael's Steakhouse. That place is fricking awesome.

Also, if you ever want a luxurious place to stay in the Hoover area, I highly recommend Renaissance at Ross Bridge. Took the girlfriend there one weekend and booked a suite. The staff was awesome and they treated me like a .

One of my favorite places in town.

ETA: Cocina Superior is good too ... I mostly just went because of their margaritas though.

Either Full Moon or Jim and Nick's catered ours. We went super casual since we invited all the out-of-town guests and wanted to visit with them.

We ate at Cajun steamer yesterday. It was legit. Owner is from Louisiana and a big LSU fan.

It's a fun atmosphere and we go because it's uber close to our house, but for food NOFS is better.

Cajun Steamer's more convenient and more fun to go drink at though.

Oh ok, thats the way our was. I grew up in LA so we had family come in from LA, AR, TN and her family from Huntsville. I was stationed in Milwaukee during that time.

Do you know Brian Roy?
