One thing that is always overlooked regarding the impact of that celebration penalty is the fact that UGA lined up incorrectly on the kick off (which they were flagged for, for another 5 yards).
They were kicking to the fastest man in college football and had three men covering half the field. Of course he's going to take it back across midfield. UGA's lousy special teams play handed us that game more than anything.

Handed us the game????? It moved back the kickoff which TH ran back for major yardage, and for all you know it may have been run back to the exact same spot or farther. You make it sound like it was "Flag for taunting.. automatic seven points for LSU." Go back to your boat Capt.
