Wasn't he the starter in that disastrous 41-7 blow-out to Auburn in '99?

I can’t remember who started, but Davey played the most. I was at that game with my 5 year old daughter sitting in an Auburn section. At one point the 25ish Auburn fan in front of me turned, and with a wicked glance at me, offered an Auburn shaker to my 5 year old. She carried that thing until I put her to bed that night.

Davey started and had a bad game against Auburn in 1999. Booty came in the second quarter and threw 58 passes in 'relief'. I am pretty sure he set the LSU record that night for most passes. It was kinda memorable b/c Booty didn't start but set our record for passes thrown in a game. I don't remember if Davey played any meaningful snaps until that Arkansas game where he came in the 2nd quarter and went 10-12 for 224 yards with hal hunter coaching
