Snead's a much better quarterback than Jefferson, but he was "in a funk" when we played Bama.....so that was not the best measure of the Bama defense, either.

Show me what Snead has done that warrants him being better than JJ? If that where so Ole Miss would be in our shoes and LSU would be in your shoes, at the bottom looking up. You saying this just shows how jealous Ole Miss is of what LSU is going to do and has done. Snead has had more time to develope than JJ, I believe JJ will become a better QB before this year is over than Sneadwill be.

I say LSU 34 Bama 27

Bama will get theirs in the first half LSU will get theirs in the second half. LSU's defense will stiffen in the second half and Bama's will start giving up the big plays in the second half. Bama get's theirs over ten to twelve play drives LSU get's theirs on quick plays that turns into big plays. LSU's overall team speed is faster than Bama's and that is what scares Saban the most. That is not only on offense but LSU's defense as well. Lsu's Secondary is second to no one they are the best overall DB's in the SEC in coverage and speed. Do not give Jones, Holliday or I believe by this week you will see Shepherd a little seam or they will be gone, Bama has no one to catch them with once they are in the open.

It will be a fun day. I hope our defense is allowed to play with them and that we dont give up an easy touchdown due to a turnover or special teams play. I think we will need to load up and stop the run. I think our secondary is the best in the country and I can see us getting a pick or two that will get us an easy score.

If it goes that way I like our chances very much for the upset. I would then be concerned that the team would be looking forward too much for a Florida rematch that we would loose to Ole Miss or Arkansas.

I apologize for getting ahead of myself. LSU vs. Bama. It will be awesome.

Snead is a shadow of the QB he was last year. He's terrible.

I don't mean to burst anyones bubble. But our offense still needs to improve alot. The running game is stagnent. Thanks to the ten penalties that auburn committed in the first half Lsu was able to move the ball down the field. Although JJ look very improved against auburn as well as the defense, we must be able to run the ball inorder for the passing game to be successful. I am sure that all those penalties had an effect on auburns moral. We will see how the offense looks after this week against tulane.

The real question is where we will be ranked in the BCS after this game.

BCS #14 at best, maybe #16.

If a Saban D shuts down the run, then the game is over because they will just tee off on the QB. No way Jefferson is ready at this point to handle the kind of heat Bama can bring.

Our D keeps us in it, but we have to find a way to get yards on the ground. This would be a good time to use a wild tiger approach for about 30% of the snaps. And I mean a real wild tiger, not just a direct snap to the QB.

Great teams are good in all three phases of the game, Bama is not. They have an impressive defense, and that's about it. This game could go either way, but likely will be a defensive struggle. One blown coverage or ST's mishap could define the entire game.

It's gonna be a close game, unless LSU finds some chink in bama's defensive armor. Alabama probably wont pass the ball a whole lot considering lsu's dbs are outstanding. The running game will tell the truth. Also Alabama is gonna run the wildcat. Can LSU stop the Wildcat with Ingram? we will see. I wouldnt at all be suprised if this game ended 7-3. LSU's speacial teams will be the difference IMO.

Look this game is going to be close. It's absolutely crazy to think it'll be a blowout. So Bama didn't have their best game. I'm still convinced that team is very good.

LSU needs that running game to come through big time if they want to make some magic happen in Tuscaloser

Do you really think Jefferson will fare better against this defense than, say, a Jevan Sneed?

I take JJ any day!!

I agree. Jasper is good at field goals, but Helton is, well, rough to say the least. I'd say let Jasper do both like he did last game.

Couple this with the fact that visiting teams in this series continue to have success
Bama beat us for the first time in what, 7 years last year?

Maybe he was referring to our recent success in Tuscaloosa 01,03,05,07. I was there for all 4 all will be there wearing the purple and gold in the Bama faculty-staff section low in the endzone. I'm expecting it to be an interesting Saturday afternoon. haha
