Neutral @ qb should be enough to get us to a BCS bowl. . .all other things playing to their ability.
Not if he can't run the offense. Jury still out on that. He has the potential, but until he becomes more consistent and stops with the underneath stuff, LSU isn't going to any BCS bowls. He is an adequate QB, but doesn't "lift" the team. Have always said that JJ is good for about two drives a game, then seems to go into a shell.

there is a reason dandy don had a million emails about JJ looking the same...and not happy with miles
Well shite then, that settles it.
I had no idea that June from Churchpoint was pissed till now.
That bitch probably watched the entire third quarter, after getting her Velvetta melted down.

Playcalling changes in the second half. . .it is a Crowton trademark. Where was Shep in the 2nd half? JJ's fault?

No, but JJ didn't do anything above average in the second half, and threw underneath twice on third and long. That has to stop.
Unfortunately for JJ, or whoever is QB at LSU there will always be coaching to overcome. The position is handicapped from the start. I don't think LSU has a QB on the roster who will efficiently run the offense the staff wants them to run or the personality to be the leader the team needs.

and threw underneath twice on third and long.
The other was a roll out with only one guy running with JJ.
But I agree he still needs some polish. I am not going to say the guy is perfect. . .just the best we have right now. I definitely see a big improvement over his play last year, though.

Meh, looked about like he did vs UDub last year. Its only one game, but I would grade it a B-. The pass to Randle was the best of his career at LSU, by far but that was pretty much the only thing he did that stood out in the game.

I really have to disagree. Crowton wasn't letting the kid throw past the LoS in that game.

Really??
Yeah, he was. Outside of that one pass to Randle, it looked similar. Most of JJ's throws in the UNC game were exactly the same as you saw last season. He had three TD passes vs UDub last year.

Anybody else find it hilarious that someone is bitching about JJ choosing to give the ball to Reuben Randle with a chance to make a play versus trying to force one in to Chase MFing Clement late and over the middle?

BT, if Jefferson puts up 2k+ passing yards with 26 TDs and ~10 INTs (or less) over the course of this season would you be unhappy with his individual performance?

Do you think he'll throw 2 TDS each game?
I think he'll average that, yes

you think he's gonna throw a pick in every single game? Give it a fricking break guy.

Should have said 2 every game, huh?

Funny that he's on pace for 4.8 TDs and 14.4 INTs for the regular season as of now.

My logic was flawed in that I was unable to predict the most dramatic regression since Justin Vincent.

Oh and that means at least 2.8 more superman celebrations!

I don't think he throws another td the rest of the year
