Obviously, he gets a pass from you on the option, any interceptions, intentional grounding, throwing short of the chains, maturation, leadership, total yards, and limited in going deep.

He ran the option decent saturday (except for that one time ). His INT made NO difference whatsoever, time was expiring. Intentional grounding was a mistake that needs to be corrected. Throwing short of the chains isn't just on Jefferson, the OC/OL/WRs take blame also.

He's improved loads when it comes to throwing the deep ball, maturity, and leadership.

As you can clearly see Jefferson could not have waited any longer without leaving the pocket.

Clement was already open. You just can't see it until the ball is thrown and the camera angle widens.

I think he was covered by the LB in zone. Where do you see otherwise? Or are you just assuming?

There was much more space between Clement and his man, than RRs. RRs man was on him so fast, he got knocked off his feet before he turned

An inc pass at the chains, is way better than a two yard completion.

Anyone arguing different is a hack

You want Jefferson to throw across the middle with a LB waiting in coverage? Watch the LB step back when the ball is snapped to take away the inside of the field from Clement.

Playstation football is ruining people.

LB was on his outside shoulder. He was trailing Clement the entire route which means that when he made his break to the inside, which he had already made when JJ wanted to throw, he was wide open for an easy pitch and catch.

The other LB. He steps back on the snap and takes away the inside of the field from Clement. I believe it was Sturdivant or whatever.

I really dont like blaming college kids for how they play. Its the coaches who let them play that way. If a runner fumbles, take his arse out for a few series and give someone else a try. Sitting a player on the bench usually wakes up him up quicker than anything.

no it worked out much better when the WR had to change his route, so as not to run into the referee

It's called knowing the routes your players are running.

Jefferson throws that ball to Clement it's an INT. You have a LB in fricking zone coverage right in the middle of the field where Clement would have bene.

one bad option play, but several good ones.

quote:

any interceptions,
I said the interception was stupid. . .but fortunately it had a negligible effect on the outcome.

quote:

intentional grounding,
Very bad play. I'm sure he caught an earful over it.

quote:

throwing short of the chains
Playcalls

quote:

maturation, leadership
I think he showed alot of both of these. Not sure what game you were watching.

quote:

total yards
Why does he need to have alot of yards? Shouldn't efficiency and wins take precedence?

Were you expecting Peyton Manning to shed his JJ disguise Saturday?

I understand we do not have the greatest QB in the country, but JJ is the best that we have. I expected to see him improve over last season, and that is what I saw.

He is a really good QB, but he isn't a future Hall of Famer.

That said, I think he can lead us to a very special season. . .if the coaches let him loose.

quote:

limited in going deep.

I thought he went deep more than any game last year.

because he gonna let a 5* WR run wide open so that he can drop back and double cover the TE

OMG !!

You mean the one who was playing man on Randle?

Yeah. THAT one. He broke on Randle's underneath route as soon as he made the cut.

If he was in man vs Randle he would have been abused. He was either in zone/combination coverage.
