I'll say it again. We did not build the new Box to sit dark and empty in the post season. Just can't happen.

To the original poster-Stop it, we are in a spot to achieve everything that you listed.

What really should be at issue and discussed is Paul Maneiri admitting he basically took a year off. No other profession allows you to do this, yet alone admit doing it.

dude, you have to be kidding me. huge football programs like texas and michigan, to name a few, have had really shitty years and missed out on bowl games recently.

same with a few basketball powerhouses.

to expect to make the tournament literally every year is outrageous. to expect to make it, say 8 or 9 times out of 10 is perfect acceptable. but 10 out of 10 is setting yourself up for extreme let down.

First, let's stick to subject of the thread, baseball.

With our program and tradition we really should expect to make the NCAA tourney every year at an absolute minimum, barring some really good reason, like multiple key injuries, etc.

Teams can and do get in the tourney with some pretty mediocre records each year, and we should be able to do as much.

Miami, with 2 less titles than us, has made the tourney 39 consecutive times.
