What's it gonna take to get this receiving corps to start catching the ball at an acceptable DI program clip? We know 0 isn't making any changes to the staff so...

Benching some dudes? Maybe some cuts? Threaten scholarships?

Help me out here.

If they want to be great they need to take it upon themselves to put in the extra time like Jarvis and Odell did

You don't become great at anything by doing the bare minimum

It's really just Jefferson that can't catch...But he's the best route runner...So I dunno...

Many times they seem surprised by the ball and don't have both their hands and body positioned to catch.

That tells me the timing and/or routes are off. I'm thinking most of that is the WRs not running routes crisp or well.

Notice many times Burrow is throwing at their flanks, not numbers. They aren't "presenting a target", possibly because they are still thinking "route" more than "ball".

Moreau did an excellent job last night of giving him a target. And the result was better.

They will get better. They are still young. Do u remember how bad lafell was when he was young. They called him butterfingers. He became a stud

Lafell went through a bad slump. He had already proven himself by that time ; at least in my eyes.

Sadly, none of this current WR group could hold soph Lafell's jock.
