They put a ton of work into this... and the NFL IS the destination.
I'd imagine it would be a buzzkill to go from this to next season if the alternative is to get paid to play ball.
So maybe this is a contrarian take, but this isn't a bad thing for the program long-term. And it's great for the kids if they grade out & can make life-changing money.
And probably doesn't hurt w/ recruiting.

I remember when the rant tried convincing itself that Jrs leaving in mass under Les was good for the program

Leaving after the greatest season of all time is a bit different than leaving after 8-4.

It leaves money on the table for some no matter if we are 0-12 or 15-0

You can always drop out of school and work to get paid as opposed to remaining in school and becoming a physician.

It’s totally dependent on the situation. Juniors leaving after a national title and 15-0 season is so much better than leaving after a 3 or 4 loss season. These guys have achieved their ultimate goal. For some, their stock is about as high as it will get. There’s nothing left for them to prove. It’s fine to cash in now. We could possibly be in line for a rebuilding year. But, when you win a title, recruiting is drastically boosted. So there’s typically more talent coming in. More than an 8-4 season would bring, for sure. We will be fine.
