If you are on scholarship, you have to sit out a year if you transfer -- even if you are a walk-on at the next school.

If you are a walk-on, you can transfer to another school without sitting out (example: Daron Populist)

Stringer played a good bit of point guard this season and virtually all of the minutes last season. He's not that good, but he's definitely good enough to play backup minutes there. To say he won't "bank on any minutes at the point" is silly.

Henderson sounds like you don't want us to take him. I hear that UL basketball is in trouble and it all has to do with the coach. Another player just jumped ship and two more are talking about leaving. An assistant coach is leaving. Seems to me its a coaching issue over there and not players. Why do you care so much that we would take him?

What? I like Raymone and if he goes to LSU I hope he does well. There's definitely some weird shite happening with our basketball team right now.

He's much better than Stringer and will push Hickey to start...

Called a few folks I know in Lafayette who are Cajun fans and they say he was always polite to fans. They are confused at what is happening over there. Word is if you like to see hard up defense then we will love him. He is a defensive stopper. He has a high basketball IQ and can pick apart a defense. He does not turn it over. He needs to improve on his shooting but does not take bad shots he is a solid PG who can run a team. If you have good shooters around him he will get them the ball.

He will have to sit a year and then has one year left to play but would help our players by having to face him every day at practice.

What's the word on JJ Thomas? And didn't his brother Cleveland get a release too?

If true, he'll be the starter on this team. Coach knows he needs help at the one.

What on earth are you talking about? This dude has to sit out a year and it's not even for sure he's coming here. Hickey isn't going to regress in jojo's offense.

Yes, that would mean Hickey, as a junior 2-year starter, will lose his job to a walk-on with one year left.

There is virtually no chance that happens.

Haha exactly, this guy sounds like a nice depth addition but starter? He would most likely see 10-15 minutes a game, IF he ever shows up on campus

You are correct. That dude was off base with that statement, but Andrews will definitely see time if this comes to fruition. T

I'm still pretty young so help me out here, do CBB teams typically have this sort of personnel change up the same yr a new coach is hired? Just seems like we are putting a new squad on the court next year (definitely not complaining)

Cool. Is he quick? We need more court speed for sure.

Well, we had six scholarships open that had nothing to do with the coaching change. We've filled 4.

If Ralston Turner leaves, that would be the first attrition since the change.

Very true, I guess I just wasn't thinking about the fact that he HAD to get new players. Maybe it's that some are juco and basically all of them appear to be position upgrades (holla Trent) so it seems like a "new" team
