I am not Ray Harper, Just an LSU fan, Alumni, and Die hard Basketball fan. I have friends in the business and I am just trying to point out this guy has what we are looking for.

Nice resume overall. But he could not win at WKU. 89-64. Thats a JJ percentage. Not good enough for LSU.

Two Conference Championships and two NCAA tournament appearances with one NCAA Tournament win isn't winning?

You wont find another coach with as much of a winning history as Ray Harper.

A friend of mine mentioned Kermit Davis as a possible replacement. Anyone else heard his name mentioned for LSU?

Could not win at WKU? He won two conference championships and went to the NCAA tournament twice. You guys really need to look at him harder.

You have 16 posts, 14 of which are about Ray Harper, starting back in January. The other two were about Eddlestone, whom you called a "Larry Bird type".

How did Mizzou do when they hired a D2 national championship coach?

Huge difference in recruiting on the D1 level vs the D2 level. Completely different kind of kid and different qualification standards. You can take D1 kids that cannot qualify to get in a D1 and slap a D2 uni on them and be dominate.

Much bigger transition between these 2 levels than you might realize.

You OBVIOUSLY DON't know Ray Harper then. He is not a snake at all. The guys is a proven winner and people simply hate on that. Especially in the lower level colleges when recruiting is not as regulated as Division I is. He has NEVER been on probation and he does things MUCH cleaner then other coaches. You have no idea of what your talking about other then what some HATERS may have rumored to you. But in that respect EVERY coach gets hated on, its the nature of the job. He has turned down other Big time jobs in the past btw, so nobody has "Stayed away" from him.

Duly noted, Mrs. Harper.

Submit your husband's resume' to Joe Alleva. I'm sure it will get the attention it rates.

Actually big guy, Division I and Division II qualifications are exactly the same. Thats why it is so tough for DII to recruit quality kids. The only difference is that DII can break up scholarships and give partials in some cases. You can not do that in Division I.
